This is the pattern I use to make my Birka Shoulder Bag (so called because it's just like the Birka Pouch, but reimagined as a shoulder bag).

Recommended Materials:
  • Between 6 and 9 oz veg tan leather (I use Oakleaf veg tan leather from tandyleather.com)
  • Two D-Rings (5/8")
  • Double capped Rivets
  • Waxed thread

Recommended Tools:

  • Pencil
  • X-Acto Knife
  • Edge beveler
  • Scratch Awl
  • Blunt needles (I suggest harness needles)
  • Easy Riveter Kit
  • Hammer
